As a Chicago based singer and multi-instrumentalist, Julia has performed at Drew’s on Halsted, The Drifter, Room 13, and Davenport’s Piano Bar and Cabaret. You can currently catch her singing and playing the keys at Vincent Chicago in Andersonville.
Performing pop, rock, jazz standards, country, originals, Broadway hits and requests, come enjoy a night out of drinks and delight with her!

Julia Merchant is a Chicago based singer, multi-instrumentalist, actor, and teaching artist. You can catch her singing and playing the keys every weekend at Davenport’s Piano Bar and Cabaret in Wicker Park, and on the second Friday of the month at Vincent Chicago in Andersonville.
Julia has been seen on stage in Death and Harry Houdini (2017) and five seasons of Kitty Hawk at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, FL. Other stage credits include The Revel and Death and Harry Houdini with The House Theatre, Underscore Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare, Emerald City, and Collaboraction.
In addition to theater, Julia has worked for almost two decades as a voiceover actor and is currently represented by Stewart Talent for VO. Past clients include Planet Fitness, Security First Insurance, McDonalds, Walgreens, Sears, Budweiser, and Proctor and Gamble.
When she is not on a stage or at the mic, Julia is a passionate teaching artist, working in-person and in virtual formats to help her clients connect with their musical performance goals in a safe, collaborative space. She currently specializes in voice coaching, piano, and guitar.
Julia holds a Bachelor of Theatre Arts from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA. Go Blue!
